THE TOP TEN MOST FASTEST CARS IN THE WORLD

These 10 cars are more than just fun, though, they’re the fastest production cars in the world. The emphasis here is on “production;” racers and one-off custom jobs need not apply. We also tried to limit the selections to cars whose claimed top speeds have been generally recognized as legitimate by the automotive media and sanctioning groups.
There are also some cars on the horizon that appear ready to knock some names off this list. SSC still hopes to reclaim the title of world’s fastest car with its 1,350-horsepower Tuatara, and Koenigsegg claims a top speed of over 270 mph for its One:1.
For now, though, these are the fastest cars that can legally sport a license plate.

Hennessey Venom GT (270 mph)

Hennessey Venom GTThis combination of a Lotus Elise chassis and 1,244-hp 7.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and you have the fastest production car in the world. Depending on your definition of “fastest” and “production car,” that is.

Top 7 Wonders of the Technological World

With all the discussion around the net regarding the new 7 wonders of the world, I thought that a nice complement to that would the be the 7 wonders of the technological world. I searched around for inspiration and was surprised to find that no one has put together a really decent list. One of the prominent lists I did find included Microsoft Surface – how ridiculous! (I wonder who owns that newspaper). So, without further ado, here is the list of the Top 7 Wonders of the Technological World.
7. iPod
Ipod-Touch-Itunes-Wi-Fi
This item will be the most controversial on the list I think. My reason for including it is the impact it has had worldwide on how we listen to music, how we buy music, and how we perceive entertainment as a whole. The iPod was not the first portable digital music device, but it has undoubtedly had the most effect of all. It has spawned an entire industry of supporting gadgets and accessories and it has been the basis of the only successful attempt by any company to break the Recording Industry’s hold on music distribution. For that alone, we owe Apple Corporation a big thank you.

India blocks Zuckerberg's free net app

India's telecoms regulator has blocked Facebook's Free Basics internet service app as part of a ruling in favour of net neutrality.
The scheme offered free access to a limited number of websites.
However, it was opposed by supporters of net neutrality who argued that data providers should not favour some online services over others.
The free content included selected local news and weather forecasts, the BBC, Wikipedia and some health sites.

"No service provider shall offer or charge discriminatory tariffs for data services on the basis of content," ruled the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.
The body had been investigating whether any online content should be prioritised over others, or offered for free while others were not.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said he would work to make Free Basics legal.

TECHNOLOGY AS OPPORTUNITY

Once Albert Einstein said, “I fear that day that technology will surpass our human interaction. The world will have a generation of idiots”. Perhaps this was actually true after the experience he had but to those who believes on positive use of technology it is not creating idiots, except for those who do not understand the need for technology. I decided then to utilize the technology, though it is somehow true that we are utilizing the invented opportunities but they can be developed and one can achieve a better way of displaying them differently.  You design book content but others will come develop fine arts of how to present the content.
