Business ethics and social responsibility are commonly used in everyday parlance almost interchangeably. While social responsibility is self explanatory, ethics is a word that puts one in a dilemma. Social responsibility looks clearly defined and demarcated. Companies have a policy of social responsibility known as corporate social responsibility whereby they commit to follow their businesses in such a way so as to benefit the community at large. But ethics is a loose term that is dependent upon a person’s conscience. There are certain differences between the two and the two are not overlapping completely.

Top 7 Wonders of the Technological World
With all the discussion around the net regarding the new 7 wonders of the world, I thought that a nice complement to that would the be the 7 wonders of the technological world. I searched around for inspiration and was surprised to find that no one has put together a really decent list. One of the prominent lists I did find included Microsoft Surface – how ridiculous! (I wonder who owns that newspaper). So, without further ado, here is the list of the Top 7 Wonders of the Technological World.
7. iPod
This item will be the most controversial on the list I think. My reason for including it is the impact it has had worldwide on how we listen to music, how we buy music, and how we perceive entertainment as a whole. The iPod was not the first portable digital music device, but it has undoubtedly had the most effect of all. It has spawned an entire industry of supporting gadgets and accessories and it has been the basis of the only successful attempt by any company to break the Recording Industry’s hold on music distribution. For that alone, we owe Apple Corporation a big thank you.
Cope with Magufuli speed, Nape directs his ministry
The minister, Mr Nape Nnauye, made the directive on Saturday evening during a live programme aired by state-run broadcaster TBC1, insisting that for effective service delivery, all public servants are obliged to embrace patriotism, professionalism and hard work spirit.
He noted that since the Magufuli Administration started late last year, there have been both administrative and institutional changes in various departments to increase efficiency.
The minister, who is also CCM Secretary for Ideology and Publicity, hinted that as they have just made changes in some institutions, other departments that will prove to be less result-oriented would follow the same course.

Marketing
Marketing for small businesses can be a big
challenge, especially when you're trying to build a brand presence. Linda Lauren, a
psychic medium and owner of the retail shop Embracing the Universe, believes
she will have to work hard to market her changing brand in 2016.
I will be going
from services to primarily products," Lauren told Business News Daily.
"The challenges that come with that have a lot to do with helping people
to shift their awareness more to my products."
Lauren said she plans
to tackle these obstacles by stepping up social media efforts to engage
customers and educating them about what her brand represents. At the same time,
this will help to steer them to her website for more information and ordering,
she said. Lauren also noted that she will use regular email newsletters to
extend her reach, which will also inform people of her latest product trends.

Benefits of YOGA
How It Works
Workout fads come and go, but virtually no other exercise program is as enduring as yoga. It's been around for more than 5,000 years.
Yoga does more than burn calories and tone muscles. It's a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation.
There are more than 100 different forms of yoga. Some are fast-paced and intense. Others are gentle and relaxing.
Examples of different yoga forms include:
- Hatha. The form most often associated with yoga, it combines a series of basic movements with breathing.
- Vinyasa. A series of poses that flow smoothly into one another.
- Power. A faster, higher-intensity practice that builds muscle.
- Ashtanga. A series of poses, combined with a special breathing technique.
- Bikram. Also known as "hot yoga," it's a series of 26 challenging poses performed in a room heated to a high temperature.
- Iyengar. A type of yoga that uses props like blocks, straps, and chairs to help you move your body into the proper alignment.

Jeb Bush drops 2016 presidential campaign
Bush, who in the waning weeks of his campaign sparred relentlessly with GOP front runner Donald Trump, reiterated his belief that the presidency is for the humble. The rest want to embrace him, and they do so at their peril. The crowd clapped and cheered when Graham said, "I don't know about you, but I like the Bushes". A veteran himself, Zielinski said he wasn't sure who he would back in South Carolina's Republican primary on Saturday: He was down to Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, having dismissed Donald Trump as too centered on "the anger, not the promise" of America. Ted Cruz has taken time away from campaigning in SC to attend the funeral Mass in Washington for the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Of course, that's the same role Bush is seeking, as is Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who placed second in New Hampshire. But the problem for Jeb Bush, and the whole Republican Party, is that George W. Bush led the GOP into a ditch. "And I think he is getting you off your message - your good message". Bush, like others, was caught off-guard by the durable popularity of political outsiders - particularly Trump. And in Florence, Bush was making a different argument to about 100 people - plus more than a dozen editors, gaffers, grips, and photographers from Showtime's The Circus crew.
Health Tips for Heart, Mind, and Body
If you only do 5 things to boost health, what should you do?
Unhealthy lifestyle. It's a common contributor of our biggest health problems: stroke, heart disease, diabetes, cancer. What do the nation's top physicians recommend to keep your heart, mind, and body in optimally good health?
1. Daily exercise.
You brush your teeth every day; exercise is equally important for your daily routine. Turn off the TV or computer, and get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day.
To work your heart, it's got to be aerobic exercise. You've got lots of options: walking, jogging, biking, rowing machine, elliptical machine, swimming. But don't feel like you have to be an athlete. Walking is great exercise. Get 10 minutes here and there during the day. It all counts.
Start with something simple, like parking in the far corner of the parking lot -- so you get those extra steps to the door. Take the stairs one or two flights instead of the elevator. If you take public transportation, get off one stop early and walk the rest. Get out at lunch to walk. Or walk with your significant other or your spouse after work. You'll get a bonus -- relaxation and stress reduction.

India blocks Zuckerberg's free net app
- 8 February 2016
- From the section Technology
India's telecoms
regulator has blocked Facebook's Free Basics internet service app as
part of a ruling in favour of net neutrality.
The scheme offered free access to a limited number of websites. However, it was opposed by supporters of net neutrality who argued that data providers should not favour some online services over others.
The free content included selected local news and weather forecasts, the BBC, Wikipedia and some health sites.
The body had been investigating whether any online content should be prioritised over others, or offered for free while others were not.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said he would work to make Free Basics legal.

A tick bite that makes you allergic to red meat
- By Bianca Nogrady
5 February 2016
Walking through Sydney’s northern beaches in the height of summer, the dense, humid bush is alive with the buzz of cicadas, the screech of rosellas, and the mouth-watering smell of barbecue.
It sounds like a fate worse than death for a meat-loving Australian
But hiding in the undergrowth is a tiny creature that is forcing some unrepentant carnivores to turn their back on sausages, steaks and meat pies. It sounds like a fate worse than death for a meat-loving Australian. But worse is the extreme allergic reaction known as anaphylaxis which can constrict airways, drop your blood pressure through your boots, and kill you.
